PAC (Polyaluminum Chloride) Safety

PAC is a chemical used to help with flocculation during potable water treatment.

Your supplier should provide a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for PAC.

Exposure to PAC can cause irritation of the eyes, skin, and respiratory system. Follow all recommendations in the SDS as related to safe storage, handling and use. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment while working with this chemical, as per the SDS.

PAC is incompatible with calcium hypochlorite, acids, alkalis and metals and should be located away from such.

NIOSH provides a Chemical Data Card for PAC as well.
